Burnout Sets: 3 Reasons Why You Should Be Doing Them

It’s time to get the most out of your workouts! Whether you’re working out at home or at the gym, you may be missing out on a quick and easy way to burn extra fat. Burnout sets are the answer!

If you’re not familiar, it’s when you use light weights with high repetition at the end of a workout session. The goal is to work your body to a point of exhaustion.

Here are three reasons why you should start adding them to the end of your workouts.

  1. Experience faster muscle growth - Burnout sets support muscle growth through a buildup of lactic acid after pushing your muscles to the point of exhaustion.

  2. Your strength will increase - By incorporating burnouts into your workout, you’ll aid in strength training.

  3. You can target specific muscle groups - Adding a burnout to the end of a full-body workout is a great way to target specific muscle groups you’re hoping to engage and grow.

Keep in mind that while burnouts can be a great way to burn fat, they shouldn’t be done after every workout because it could lead to injury! You should also consider using lifting straps or wrist wraps to avoid injury at the end of your workout. Ankle straps can also be used to maintain tension while working your muscles to a point of exhaustion.

What do you think about burnouts? Try it out for yourself and you may be pleasantly surprised!
